The computer calculates the postage and records it on a manifest corresponding to the identification number of that piece. The manifest can be printed on paper or submitted in electronic PDF form.

DigitalShipper Enterprise generates labels approved by the USPS for mail manifest identification. The labels include Permit Imprint Indicia, piece ID, address information, and optionally the delivery or signature confirmation barcode.
