LTL/Generic Carrier Overview

The Generic Carrier module in DigitalShipper Enterprise shares the same framework as all compliant carriers, making it easy to ship any carrier through DigitalShipper Enterprise. The Generic Carrier module provides simple setup through the Management Console and extended capabilities for auto generating tracking numbers with algorithms, adding special services or generating custom published and/or negotiated rates.

Common generic carriers that are setup in DigitalShipper Enterprise include Local Courier Companies, Will Call Pickup, Internal Delivery Services, Internal Truck Shipments, Non-Compliant Carriers, and LTL (Less Than Truckload) Carriers, and FTL (Full Truck Load) Carriers.
